Thirdly, they place edge restraints to keep the concrete pavers from shifting around. Only then do they begin to lay the concrete pavers down into the bedding sand in the desired pattern and layout. Once they have been laid, the contractors will vibrate them using a machine to lock them into the bedding sand. Next, they work sand into the control joints to further lock them in. Finally, they seal the concrete pavers, which protects them from wear and tear, keeps out moisture and pests from entering the soil underneath (and causing concrete settling), and enhancing their appearance.
